Manuel Azevedo is an independent lawyer associated in practice with Gratl & Company. Manuel’s practice is confined to legal research, for which he is widely respected within the legal profession.
Manuel Azevedo graduated from Osgoode Hall law school in Toronto and holds a Master of Laws degree from the London School of Economics in England. Manuel was called to the Bar in 1992. Although he no longer conducts trials or appeals, his legal research is informed by his extensive experience as a trial lawyer who has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia, the Federal Court, and the Supreme Court of Canada. He is the last pupil of the distinguished lawyer and politician Harry Rankin Q.C. (1920-2002). Manuel continues the tradition of finding innovative legal paths to holding corporations and government to account for their misdeeds.
