MCFD/Saunders Fraud

Jason Gratl is counsel for a young person, R.O., in this proposed class action proceeding involving a social worker who defrauded children in the care of the Ministry of Child and Family Development of their food, clothing and shelter allowances, leaving many of them desititute and homeless.  The Ministry and Interior Savings Credit Union are named as defendants on the basis that they failed to implement sufficient policies and safeguards to prevent and detect the fraud, and that they failed to notify the class members once the fraud was detected.

A copy of the Notice of Civil Claim is linked here.

The firm has now commenced lawsuits on behalf of an additional four individuals who were harmed by Riley Saunders and other Ministry employees.
